10. Colorado (86.5)

This actually ties for 10th with LSU's 86.5, but let's be honest, EA is going out on a limb here in College Football 25.

Yes, Colorado has brought in some transfer talent. But this was a 4-8 team a year ago. Among the teams below Colorado on EA's rankings are Florida State, Oklahoma, USC and Texas A&M. That's pretty wild.

9. Notre Dame (87.5)

EA is also bullish on Notre Dame. The Irish went 10-3 a year ago and added Duke QB Riley Leonard in the transfer portal. Don't forget that the Irish will only get three true road games in their schedule. Notre Dame is certainly a more solid choice than Colorado.

8. Utah (87.5)

EA apparently like the Utes in the Big 12, and it's not hard to figure out why. The 8-5 Utes will get QB Cam Rising back for 2024 after another season lost to injury. The Utes were active in the transfer portal and added some legitimate impact players like Dorian Singer and Cameron Calhoun.

7. Penn State (87.5)

In every season, it seems like it could be Penn State's year in the Big Ten. EA seems to be considering that possibility as well, ranking the Nittany Lions third in the league. If James Franklin can get another season of outstanding production from Drew Allar at QB, Penn State might even be underrated in this spot.

6. Clemson (88.5)

The presumed class of the ACC, Clemson is slated for a bounce-back by EA's reckoning according to College Football 25. Last year, the Tigers lost four league games.

Dabo Swinney's refusal to even consider the transfer portal is an audacious strategy. But how well it works out probably depends on how well Clemson develops its own players.

5. Texas (89.5)

In their first season in the SEC, EA seems to think the Longhorns fit right into the top of the league. A season ago, Texas reached the CFP with a 12-2 season. With some outstanding receiver transfers, Quinn Ewers is poised for a big season. It's safe to think Texas could be right back in the CFP.

4. Alabama (90.5)

While many wonder how the Tide will stack up under new coach Kalen DeBoer, EA doesn't seem to have much concern. DeBoer's shift to a more wide-open offense is a question mark, but he's brought in even more talent to help with that shift. The Tide should be fine, as EA clearly thinks.

3. Oregon (92)

EA is also pretty bullish on the Oregon Ducks. In their first year in the Big Ten, Oregon is expected by EA to compete at the top of the league along with Ohio State. Dillon Gabriel could indeed star, and he's got plenty of offensive weapons. The defense for Oregon could tell the tale.

2. Ohio State (92.5)

Always a talented team, Ohio State was not thrilled with another 11-2 season. The Buckeyes have to get over the hump. EA pretty clearly thinks they could do it. The transfer backfield of Will Howard and Quinshon Judkins should certainly help OSU's chances.

1. Georgia (94)

Who's number one? For EA, it's Georgia. Not a bad call, as UGA has lost just two games total over the last three seasons. Georgia's massive amount of offensive and defensive talent renders them the logical top pick for College Football 25.
