College Football 25 had a massive patch update and there are going to be a lot of changes in gameplay within each mode. Let's take a look at some of the major differences we will see with this College Football 25 patch update.
Top College Football 25 fixes & improvements with the patch
Scheduling recruits
One of the things that was not working properly was scheduling recruits to visit your program in Dynasty. Some players would not let you do that and this patch in College Football 25 seemingly has fixed that major issue.
4 & 5 Star Players
Before the patch, four and five-star players were signing very early into the recruitment process, and that was not typical in real life. This patch update has made this process more realistic and those players will now typically wait a bit longer into the recruitment process.
Wildcat Bugs
The Wildcat formation was one of the most overused and dominant formations in College Football 25 right now. However, with this patch, the formation is not as dominating as the 360 and side step abilities are fixed as they are not as strong.
Pursuit Angles
One of the biggest issues in College Football 25 has been the computer's inability to understand pursuit angles. You can only control one player on defense at a time and the computer players struggle to make correct angles to stop the opposing offensive player from getting major yardage.
This patch is going to improve the computer intelligence to make more effective angles to the ball-handler.
Road to Glory Content
The Road to Glory mode is going to be receiving an additional scenario as well as more Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) content for the player to manage.
Fixing the Gap
The gap between good and bad teams/players is going to be tuned so there are some better distinctions between various levels of players and teams. This is also going to affect the polls to give players a more realistic ranking.
Road to Glory Glitch
One of the bigger glitches in Road to Glory was allowing the user to max their skill points after completing practice. That has now been fixed so the Road to Glory format is going to give more of a realistic style.
Updating Stadiums
There are new stadium updates in College Football 25 as eight different stadiums received an update. These are Wake Forest, UL-Monroe, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Kennesaw State, Texas State, Kansas and Holiday Bowl.
The presentation has improved it and that will make things better for fans who know the intricacies of the stadiums involved.
Uniform Updates
There have been some updates in jerseys as well for College Football 25. There are going to be updates in uniforms for the following programs:
- Baylor Bears
- Oregon Ducks
- Iowa State Cyclones
- Ole Miss Rebels
- Vanderbilt Commodores
- Bowling Green Falcons
- Northwestern Wildcats
- UTEP Miners
- Boise State Broncos
- New Mexico State Aggies
- Appalachian State Mountaineers
- Texas State Bobcats
- Louisiana Rajin Cajuns
- New Mexico Lobos
- South Alabama Jaguars
Road to the CFP Updates
One big issue with Road to the CFP was the team-matching system as all the programs were divided into three tiers. However, it is now dividing programs into five tiers. This will make it easier to match with similar teams than a Group of Five program matching with the SEC.
