EA Sports College Football 25 was released on July 19. This is the first licensed college football game in 11 years, and with the popularity of NCAA Football booming, the timing couldn't have been better.
While the excitement has reached a fever pitch among fans, all is not quite well with the game. In recent days, a glitch in the Road to Glory mode has caught the eye of gamers across the country.
The Road to Glory mode resembles an RPG-style campaign where gamers can take up the role of a student athlete and take them to glory in college football. They can choose the player's position, background and abilities while managing their weekly schedule, GPA and image.
They can also choose to earn the coach's trust to earn more game time or enter the transfer portal to explore new opportunities.
College Football 25 Road to Glory glitch update
This glitch has become a major issue, with gamers engaging in lots of discussions across social media and forums. It concerns player growth and allows gamers to grow their player in the Road to Glory mode to a 99 rating almost instantly.
What caused the 99 overall glitch in Road to Glory?
By setting the quarter length to 15 minutes for a practice game, the player can receive lots of XP that results in 127 skill points, which is enough to take a player to an overall rating of 99 before taking on the rest of the season.
The development is most successful when the difficulty is set to Heisman, and this glitch kicks in once the game or even a drill is completed. The player maxes out in rating after a week of practice and happens consistently.
College Football 25 update patch notes
Over the last few days, EA has rolled out updates and carried out server maintenance on a few occasions to improve the game. However, it's yet to address this glitch in the Road to Glory mode.
The latest update in College Football 25 saw EA fix an issue in the online dynasty mode, where players couldn't load their saved games. It also improved the audio and team logos aspect in recent updates and is likely to take up the Road to Glory glitch in its next set of updates.
