Week 7 of the college football season is upon us, and while some of the premier games are going on this week, not all the top teams are in action. Instead, we see some elite programs not scheduled and preparing for Week 8 while getting a bit rested up. Let's take a closer look at some of those teams not suiting up this week.

Top College Football teams not playing in Week 7

Miami Hurricanes

The Miami Hurricanes are the sixth-ranked team in the AP Top 25 entering Week 7 and are not playing. Instead, they are resting up as they prepare for their road game against the Louisville Cardinals next week.

The Hurricanes have four games before another week off as they have games at Louisville, vs. Florida State and Duke, and then away at Georgia Tech. It will be interesting to see if they can surpass the Clemson Tigers for the top spot in the ACC.

Texas A&M Aggies

The 15th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies are currently holding the top spot in the SEC with a 5-1 record (3-0 SEC), with their only loss being to begin the season against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The Aggies have a difficult remaining schedule but will have three games before another off week, as they are set to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs on the road, at home for the LSU Tigers and away at the South Carolina Gamecocks.

This will be a great test for them, as they have been a surprising team to be leading the SEC at this point and the only team in the conference with more than one conference victory thus far.

Indiana Hoosiers

The Indiana Hoosiers hold the 18th spot in the most recent AP Top 25 and are sitting pretty into their off week with an unblemished 6-0 (3-0 Big Ten) record.

The program will have four games before another off week as it will be home for both the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Washington Huskies before going on the road to take on the Michigan State Spartans. The Hoosiers wrap up that four-game stretch with a home matchup against the defending national champion Michigan Wolverines.

That stretch will dictate their season, as they are one of four teams in the Big Ten with an undefeated conference record. Indiana will play one of them after its second off week in the Ohio State Buckeyes.
