The Colorado Buffaloes have been one of the biggest turnarounds in college football this season as they are competing for both the Big 12 championship and a spot in the College Football Playoff. However, there have been some questions regarding coach Deion Sanders' future.

During Monday's "Zero 2 Sixty" podcast, hosts Matt McChesney and Bailey Price's guest was Buffaloes athletic director Rick George. In a clip promoting the show, George explained that Sanders does not plan on going anywhere.

"I think there's a lot of people out there that wanna say he's just jumping in Boulder and he's out of here, Deion's not going anywhere," George said. "The guy's committed here, he's just getting started. I feel really good about our relationship and his love of Boulder and our tradition here and the community's embraced him back."

George added that he and Sanders have not gone in depth about a contract extension while the rumors of him coaching at the NFL level have been going on. Instead, he said that Sanders does not want any distractions during the season regarding his contract.

"Have he and I had conversations?" George said. "Yes, we haven't gone into details about what an extension would look like but we've certainly had conversations. We've had two bye weeks, we needed to do something to fill the weeks. He doesn't wanna have those distractions about talking about a contract during the season but certainly after the season we'll talk."

As the regular season continues, it will be interesting to see how the rumors about Deion Sanders' future will go, as without a contract extension, speculation will continue to run rampant.

What is next for the Colorado Buffaloes and Deion Sanders?

The Colorado Buffaloes are doing well with an 8-2 (6-1 Big 12) record and are ranked No.17 in college football as they look to fight for the Big 12 Conference championship. They can still make the College Football Playoff even if they do not win the conference championship. However, this is something that they are in control of as they have two more regular season games to continue climbing the AP Poll and CFP rankings.
