Colorado vs BYU opt-outs and injury report: Top players not participating in Alamo Bowl

The Alamo Bowl will kick off on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. EST. It is expected to be one of the most competitive non-playoff bowl games of the year as it features two of ranked teams in the No. 17-ranked BYU Cougars and No. 23-ranked Colorado Buffaloes. Additionally, neither team is dealing with a significant number of injuries or opt-outs.

Starting cornerback Preston Hodge missed the final three regular-season games for the Buffaloes. He is listed as questionable for the Alamo Bowl.

Amari McNeil

Starting defensive lineman Amari McNeil missed the finale with an undisclosed injury. His status is unknown.

Phillip Houston

Starting right tackle Phillip Houston missed the finale, too, and his status is unknown.

Running back Isaiah Augustave is listed as questionable to return after missing the finale with an undisclosed injury.

Wide receiver Jimmy Horn is expected to be unavailable after missing the final few games.

Nikhai Hill-Green

Starting linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green will not be available for the Alamo Bowl. He transferred to Alabama.

Dayon Hayes

Defensive end Dayon Hayes is not available after signing with Texas A&M. He played 163 snaps this season.
