Michigan Wolverines tight end Colston Loveland has followed up a breakout 2023 season with another strong performance this season. However, he left last Saturday's 50-6 win over Northwestern with an undisclosed injury. He is listed as questionable on the injury report for Saturday's game against No. 2 Ohio State.
Head coach Sherrone Moore provided an update on Loveland on Tuesday's "Inside Michigan Football" radio show.
"He’s trending in a good direction to be available. So we’ll just continue to work and see what happens."

While this is not confirmation Loveland will be available, it sounds like he's more likely to play than not despite the questionable tag.
Is Loveland playing this week?
A final decision on Loveland's status will likely be made shortly before the start of the game. It is possible he could warm up before the game before a decision is made.
When Moore was on the radio show on Tuesday, he spoke about the importance of Loveland this season. Loveland set the single-season record for catches by a tight end at Michigan on Saturday before leaving the game with an injury. While Moore praised his play on the field, he also gave credit to him for being an excellent leader.
"It’s been huge. Ironically, his first touchdown was in The Shoe in 2022 as a true freshman. He’s just been extremely impactful in every way on the field. Obviously, off the field as a leader. Even as a junior, he’s a leader that everyone looks to. Just does everything the right way, works his tail off. And he’s going to be a phenomenal pro."
