Loveland began his football career at Gooding High School where he was a two-way standout player and played as both tight end and linebacker. As a sophomore, Loveland made 91 catches and recorded 1,147 yards with 14 touchdowns. In his senior season, Loveland caught 62 passes for 968 yards and 14 touchdowns while adding 66 tackles, 5.5 sacks and two interceptions on defense. Loveland was ranked the best player in the state of Idaho by all major sports outlets. He was also the recipient of the 2021 Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year award. Loveland concluded his four-year prep career with 235 receptions for 3,141 yards and 35 touchdowns.
