Cooper LaFebre is an American collegiate football quarterback for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. LaFebre started his football career at Lubbock Cooper High School, where he helped the school to Class 5A Division II state semifinals and also led them to the district 3-5A championship. During his senior season, he threw for 1,332 yards and 13 touchdowns with four interceptions. The three-star athlete from Lubbock started his collegiate football journey with the University of Houston while receiving a few offers from top programs.

In his freshman season, LaFebre did not see any action with the Cougars and redshirted the 2021 season. He entered the transfer portal after the conclusion of the 2021 regular season and transferred to Texas Tech, where he struggled to get minutes for the next couple of years. LaFebre mostly played as a scout team member and is yet to experience his first game as a Red Raider.
