Born on January 8, 1999, Green started his high school football career at Madison High School where he ranked the third-best player in the state of Oregon. The three-star prospect from Portland was the top-rated prospect in the 2017 recruiting class but was unable to enroll as a freshman due to academic eligibility issues during the 2017 regular season. Coming out of Portland as the No.5 player in the state of Oregon, Green started his collegiate football career with Kansas State over offers from Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Ole Miss, Oregon, USC, Oregon State and Washington. He redshirted his freshman season and stepped into a more prominent role the following season. In 2019 as a redshirt freshman, Green appeared in 13 games recording 34 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. He had a breakout campaign in 2021 when he led the team in both tackles (89) and tackles for loss (16.0). Green was ranked eighth with 6.85 tackles per game. Last season, Green was voted the team captain and turned out thrice for K-State before injuring himself during the Missouri game and missed the rest of the year with a pectoral injury. The 6-foot-3, 245-pound linebacker announced he would be entering the 2024 NFL draft and not return to K-State for his seventh season of college football.
