Daniel Green, born in 1999, is an American football player for the Kansas State Wildcats. Daniel first played high school football at Madison High School in Oregon, where Rivals named him one of the top 250 prospects in the 2017 recruiting class. The three-star prospect from Portland started his college football journey with the Kansas State Wildcats after receiving offers from top programs like Arizona, Colorado, Colorado State, Idaho, Oregon State, Oregon, Ole Miss, and USC.

During his high school years, Rivals rated him as the 10th-best inside linebacker in the nation and the third-best player in the state of Oregon.

Daniel also received second-team all-state honors from The Oregonian and was also a two-time first-team all-conference honoree. He made his commitment to Kansas State in 2018 as a freshman but was redshirted for the season. In 2019, he played in all 13 games as a reserve linebacker and on the special team.

He played 10 regular-season games and recorded good numbers, including career highs in TFLs (2.5) and sacks (1.5) against the Bears. In 2021, Daniel started 12 out of 13 games and led the team in both tackles (89) and tackles for loss (16) and earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. Daniel was also named in the 2022-23 First Team Academic All-Big 12.

In 2023, Green started the first three games of the season and then suffered a season-ending injury against Missouri. In the same season, he was also voted a team captain.
