Daniel Green NIL Deal

Last Modified Jun 18, 2024 07:41 GMT

Daniel Green is an American college football linebacker who recently graduated from Kansas State. Green first played high school football at the Madison High School where he was named one of the top 250 prospects in the 2017 recruiting class. During his varsity years, he was regarded as the third-best player in the state of Oregon. He was a consensus four-star recruit and initially committed to USC to start his collegiate football career before announcing his de-commitment to join the Kansas State Wildcats.

The talented linebacker from Portland signed with the K-State Wildcats over offers from Arizona State, California, Colorado State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Utah, Utah State, Washington, and USC among others in 2017. Green redshirted his freshman season but played in all 13 games as a reserve linebacker in 2019 recording 34 tackles and two sacks. The following year as a redshirt sophomore in 2020, Green saw action in 10 games totalling 39 tackles and 2.5 sacks on the year. He endured a breakout campaign in 2021 where he led the Wildcats and set career highs with 89 tackles and 16 tackles for loss. In 2022, as a redshirt senior, Green saw action in 13 games while battling through injuries and winning the Big 12 Championship with the Wildcats. The veteran defender decided to use the ‘COVID year’ to play his final season of college football in 2023. Green started in each of the first three games before sustaining a pectoral injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season. The devastating injury put an end to his college career as Green decided to enter the 2024 NFL Draft and make the jump to the big league.
