Daniel Jackson is an American college football wide receiver who will be playing his final year of college football with the Minnesota Gophers. Jackson played high school football at the Bishop Miege High School where he was rated a four-star prospect and the No.2 recruit in the state of Kansas. During his varsity years, he led Bishop Miege to a state championship in 2017. Jackson recorded 54 catches, 1,270 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns in his sophomore year but he ended up missing the junior season due to a knee injury. He was the winner of the 2019 Otis Taylor Award bestowed upon Kansas City’s most outstanding wide receiver. The Kansas City native committed to Gophers before his senior year.
The No.2 wide receiver from the 2020 recruiting class signed with Minnesota Gophers over offers from Arizona State, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, Notre Dame and Texas A&M among others. In his freshman season, Jackson saw action in seven games and registered 12 receptions with 167 yards. In 2022, Jackson appeared in 11 games and led the Gophers in receiving yards (557) and touchdowns (5). Last season in 2023, he caught 59 passes for 831 yards with eight receiving touchdowns. For his outstanding senior campaign with the Gophers, Jackson was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.
