Davison Igbinosun is one of the fastest cornerbacks in college football who will be playing his second season with Ohio State Buckeyes. Igbinosun started playing high school football at Union High School where he was a two-way standout player and played in 29 career games in both offense and defense. Igbinosun recorded 211 tackles, and six tackles for loss on the defense whereas he made 75 carries for 894 yards and 11 touchdowns on the offense. Igbinosun was ranked a four-star prospect and was the No.1 recruit in the state of New Jersey by all major sports outlets.
Coming out of Union High as the No.14 safety nationally in the 2022 recruiting class, Igbinosun started his collegiate football journey with Ole Miss over offers from Duke, Pitt, Boston College, Virginia, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Indiana, Virginia Wisconsin among others. In his freshman year, Igbinosun appeared in 13 games with 10 starts as a cornerback and registered 37 total tackles and five pass breakups. But after just one year, he decided to enter the transfer portal and committed to Ohio State in January 2023. Last season, Igbinosun made an immediate impact for the Buckeyes as a sophomore and started all games in 2023. He recorded 59 total tackles, five pass breakups and two fumble recoveries and also led the program with 781 snaps on defense. Igbinosun was an honourable mention in the all-Big Ten Conference.
