Davison Igbinosun is an American college football player who has been tabbed as one of the fastest cornerbacks in the nation. Igbinosun started his football career at Union High School where he played in both offensive and defensive positions, either as a wide receiver or cornerback. During his prep career, Igbinosun recorded 211 career tackles, seven interceptions, and 19 passes defended whereas he rushed for 894 yards and 11 touchdowns on 75 carries. He was regarded as the No.1 in the state of New Jersey in the 2022 recruiting class and led his school to a first-place finish in Big Central 5A standings in his senior year. The four-star cornerback from Union started his collegiate football journey with Ole Miss Rebels despite considering offers from top programs like Notre Dame, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Indiana, Virginia, Boston College, Duke, Cincinnati, and Kentucky.

In his freshman season, Igbinosun appeared in every 13 games with 10 starts while recording 37 total tackles and five pass breakups on the year. However, after an outstanding rookie campaign in Mississippi, he decided to enter the transfer portal in 2023 and transfer to Ohio State Buckeyes. Growing up in New Jersey, Igbinosun always dreamt of playing for the Buckeyes but never received an offer out of high school. He quickly became a key player in the Buckeyes’ secondary and started in all 13 games in 2023. Last season, Igbinosun ranked third on the team in total tackles (59) and also registered five pass breakups and two fumble recoveries. His performances earned him all-Big Ten Conference honors which solidified his status as one of the rising stars in college football.
