Denzel Burke is an American college football player who will play his final season of college football with the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2024. Burke started his high school career at Brophy College Preparatory where he led them to a 7-4 record in his sophomore year and racked up 50 receptions for 719 yards. He later transferred to Saguaro High School during his senior year but his campaign was cut short due to an injury. Burke was a four-star prospect coming out of high school and was ranked the No.8 player in the nation by 247Sports. The two-way player at Saguaro started his collegiate football journey with Ohio State despite considering offers from top programs like Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Colorado, LSU, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Oregon, and Tennessee among others.

In his freshman season, Burke saw action in all 13 games and tallied 36 total tackles with 13 pass breakups. In 2022 as a sophomore, Burke started 11 times for the program and contributed to 34 total tackles and five pass breakups. Last season, he earned first-team all-Big Ten honors after recording 24 tackles including three tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one interception. After three seasons at Ohio State, Burke announced his return to the program for his fourth and final season of eligibility in 2024.
