Diego Pavia is a quarterback for the Vanderbilt Commodores, as of 2024. He attended Volcano Vista High School, where he showcased his dual-threat capabilities by completing 108 of 165 passes for 1,485 yards and 14 touchdowns while also rushing for 464 yards and nine touchdowns.

Pavia began his collegiate career at the New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) in 2020. In January 2024, Pavia announced his transfer to Vanderbilt University. Under head coach Clark Lea's guidance, Pavia quickly became an integral part of the team's offense. His dual-threat ability—combining effective passing with significant rushing capabilities—allowed him to lead Vanderbilt to notable victories, including a historic upset against then-No. 1 Alabama on October 5, 2024. In that game, Pavia completed 16 of 20 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns.
