Dillon Gabriel is in his final season of eligibility with the Oregon Ducks. He was born on December 28, 2000, in Mililani, Hawaii, and stands 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 204 pounds. Gabriel is a redshirt senior majoring in Communication and has previously played for UCF (2019–2021) and Oklahoma (2022–2023) before transferring to Oregon in 2024. He attended Mililani High School in Hawaii, where he was a consensus three-star recruit and one of the top quarterbacks in the state. He set a state record with 9,948 career passing yards and ranks second in Hawaii history with 105 passing touchdowns. Gabriel was named the 2018 Gatorade Hawai'i Player of the Year, OIA Offensive Player of the Year, and Honolulu Star-Advertiser All-State Offensive Player of the Year.

As a freshman, Dillon Gabriel made an immediate impact at UCF, setting a freshman school record with 3,653 passing yards and 29 touchdowns. He earned MVP honors in the Gasparilla Bowl. In his sophomore season, he became a Maxwell Award semifinalist and threw for 3,570 yards and 32 touchdowns. His junior year was cut short by injury after three games, but he had already thrown for 814 yards and nine touchdowns. In 2022, Gabriel transferred to Oklahoma and was named Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year. He finished the season with 3,168 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and six rushing touchdowns, despite missing time due to injury. In 2023, Gabriel earned the unanimous All-Big 12 first-team honors. He threw for 3,660 yards and 30 touchdowns, leading the Big 12 in several passing categories. Gabriel decided to transfer to Oregon Ducks for his final season of eligibility in the 2024-25 campaign.
