The Colorado Buffaloes have emerged as a contender to make the College Football Playoff this season. They are currently ranked No. 23 in the latest AP Poll rankings heading into Week 10.
With a lot of buzz around Colorado having an outside chance of making the playoffs, fans have been curious to learn when Deion Sanders' team will be in action next.
Does Colorado play today?
The Colorado Buffaloes will not play later today since they have an off in Week 10. This is also their final open week in the regular season.
However, the Buffs will resume action when they travel to face Texas Tech in Week 11 on Nov. 9. Here's all you need to know about Colorado's schedule for the remainder of the 2024 season:
- Nov. 2: OFF
- Nov. 9: at Texas Tech
- Nov. 16: vs. Utah
- Nov. 23: at Kansas
- Nov. 29: vs. Oklahoma State
Colorado has also produced some names that are in the running for the Heisman Trophy. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders has impressed many, while two-way star Travis Hunter has also grabbed the limelight playing as a wideout and as a cornerback. The duo will be crucial for the Buffs if they want to win their remaining games and make a push for the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff.
Colorado Buffaloes secure bowl eligibility for the first time since 2020 season
Colorado won its sixth game of the season in Week 9, beating Cincinnati 34-23. This gave the Buffs bowl eligibility for the first time since the 2020 season, which was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The win against Cincinnati also bumped Colorado into AP Poll Top 25 rankings. It was the second season in a row that the Buffaloes were in the top 25.
Although the Buffs fizzled out toward the end of last season, they look a lot more confident and stable in Sanders' second season at the helm.
