The Indiana Hoosiers have enjoyed a stellar season thus far. Curt Cignetti's team is still among the few that are yet to lose a game heading into Week 12. Since No. 5 Indiana is on course to reach the College Football Playoff this season, fans have been curious to learn whether the Hoosiers will play in Week 12 on Saturday.
Does Indiana play in Week 12?
The Indiana Hoosiers (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten) will not play today since they have an off in Week 12. This is also their final open week of the season. The Hoosiers will resume action on Nov. 23, when they travel to face the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes (8-1, 5-1 Big Ten). They will then play their final regular season game at home when they host the Purdue Boilermakers (1-8, 0-6 Big Ten) on Nov. 30.
Here's a look at Indiana's schedule for the remainder of the 2024 college football season:
- Nov. 16: OFF
- Nov. 23: at Ohio State
- Nov.29: vs. Purdue
As things stand, the Rebels are already holding down a spot in the College Football Playoff. However, they must win their remaining two regular season games to confirm qualification for the playoffs.
Indiana extended its spectacular winning streak by beating reigning national champion Michigan 20-15 in Week 11.
The Hoosiers will get an extra week's rest to prepare for their Week 13 clash against the Buckeyes, which could be a season-defining one for the team. A win at Ohio Stadium could give Indiana a big boost to reach the playoffs and potentially go all the way to win the national championship.
Indiana quarterback Kurtis Rourke will need to play a crucial role for the team in the coming weeks. So far, Rourke has led the Hoosiers' offense expertly, racking up 2,410 yards 21 touchdowns and four interceptions. The signal-caller has also rushed for two touchdowns in nine games.
