The UCLA Bruins have parted ways with Eric Bieniemy. The former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator has gotten the sack after a less-than-ideal 2024 college football season. He's now in the job market for yet another time since he departed from the perennial Super Bowl champions.

Ahead of the College Football Playoff, here's a closer look at three teams that could employ the services of the offensive guru.

3 teams that could hire Eric Bieniemy

#3. Penn State

While with the Kansas City Chiefs, Eric Bieniemy mentored a young Patrick Mahomes and molded him into arguably the greatest quarterback of his era. Current Penn State offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki is doing a similar job with Drew Allar at Penn State.

Offensive coordinators as gifted as Kotelnicki hardly ever stay in one job, especially with the turnover of head coaches. The current Nittany Lions OC will likely be snapped up by another program. That could see the program approach Bieniemy to work his magic in a desirable location.

#2. Notre Dame

There comes a time as a collegiate offensive coordinator when your success makes it nearly impossible to be ignored. Mike Denbrock is currently in that boat with the job he's done over the last couple of seasons.

Denbrock was instrumental in coaching Jayden Daniels, turning him into a Heisman Trophy winner and the No. 2 overall pick in the last NFL draft. More recently, he coached Leonard Riley on a Fighting Irish side that's in the top 15 in the country.

Mike Denbrock will likely get a head coach job in the next cycle, leaving the Notre Dame offensive coordinator job vacant. Eric Bieniemy could be a safe choice as a replacement for the Fighting Irish. Bieniemy has experience working with elite players in the NFL and college football. He should be able to carry on Denbrock's legacy at Notre Dame.

#1. Ohio State

Having such an accomplished coaching mind in Chip Kelly on the opposition sideline has to feel daunting for opponents. But that's what Ohio State's opponents this season have gone through.

Kelly has done a phenomenal job with the weapons at his disposal and might end the season with a national championship. Let's face it: It's only a matter of time before an elite collegiate football program poaches Kelly.

Hence, Bieniemy might replace the iconic offensive guru perfectly. The Buckeyes have a star-studded lineup, and Bieniemy is well-versed in handling stars due to his time with the Chiefs. This could be the perfect landing spot for the proven offensive coordinator and his best situation since he departed from the Chiefs.
