Ethan Garbers is a college football player for the UCLA Bruins football team, representing the University of California, Los Angeles. Ethan has played as a quarterback for the UCLA Bruins since 2021. Prior to joining UCLA, he played college football for the Washington Huskies footballteam, representing the University of Washington. However, in 2020, he did not play any games as he was enrolled at UW for the start of the spring 2020 academic quarter.

In his time with the Washington Huskies, Garbers won the Bob Jarvis Offensive Scout Squad MVP at the team's awards banquet. He later moved on to the UCLA Bruins and in the 2021 season, he appeared in all 12 games as the holder of all place kicks and as a quarterback in six games. He made his first start at quarterback against Utah, where he completed 27 of 44 passing attempts for 265 yards and two scores.

In the 2022 season, Garbers played in six games as a reserve quarterback. Moving on to the 2023 season, he appeared in 11 games with six starts and threw a season-high three scoring passes in the win against USC. Garbers was named the starting quarterback for UCLA's season opener against Coastal Carolina in 2023, beating out Dante Moore and Collin Schlee. He passed for a season-best 269 yards in the win versus Colorado and also ran for 37 yards against the Buffs with two double-digit carries for first downs.

Ethan Garbers is an American by nationality, born in the United States. He attended Corona del Mar High School in Newport Beach, California, where he played football for the varsity team. Garbers had an impressive high school career, completing 643 of his 947 passes for 9,462 yards and 128 touchdowns with just 15 interceptions.

After his successful high school career, Garbers committed to the University of Washington. However, he spent only one season there and did not play any football games. He then entered the NCAA transfer portal and joined the UCLA Bruins football team in 2021.

Garbers has been playing as a quarterback for UCLA and in the 2021 and 2022 seasons. In 2023, he was named the starting quarterback for UCLA's season opener against Coastal Carolina, winning the position over Dante Moore and Collin Schlee.

He attended Corona del Mar High School, located in Newport Beach, he was brought up alongside his two siblings, his brother Chase, who played quarterback for the California Golden Bears from 2017 to 2021, is currently playing with the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League (UFL), and his sister, Lexi.
