The stage is set, and the draws have been made for the 2024 college football playoffs. The committee has made its picks, and 12 teams will compete for the biggest prize in collegiate football.

When are the first-round college football playoff games?
This season's first-round games of the college football playoffs will be played on Dec. 20 and 21.

Friday
- No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. No. 10 Indiana Hoosiers at 8 p.m. ET
Saturday
- No. 6 Penn State Nittany Lions vs. No. 11 SMU Mustangs at noon ET
- No. 5 Texas Longhorns vs. No. 12 Clemson Tigers at 4 p.m.
- No. 8 Ohio State vs. No. 9 Tennessee at 8 p.m. ET
How to watch the first-round college football playoffs
ABC/ESPN and TNT Sports will broadcast this year's first-round games. Here's a look at how to watch the games:
Friday
- Notre Dame vs. Indiana at 8 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN
Saturday
- Penn State Nittany Lions vs. SMU Mustangs at noon ET on TNT
- Texas Longhorns vs. Clemson at 4 p.m. ET on TNT
- Ohio State vs. Tennessee at 8 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN
The winners of the games will advance to the quarterfinals, which will be played on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 (all on ESPN). The playoffs will proceed to the semifinals, which will be played on Jan. 9 and Jan. 10. The CFP national championship game will happen on Jan. 20.
