Florida Gators injury report: Status of Eugene Wilson III, Ja’Quavion Fraziars, & more ahead of week 4 clash

The Florida Gators (1-2) will face the Mississippi State Bulldogs (1-2) at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday in a week 4 matchup. The Gators are coming off a 33-20 loss to 25th-ranked Texas A&M.

The Bulldogs are coming off their second loss in a row, a 41-17 defeat at the hands of Toledo. Florida is dealing with several injuries going into this game against Mississippi State.

The Florida Gators have over a dozen players on their injury report. These are some of the most relevant injuries for this week's matchup.

#1 Eugene Wilson III

Wide receiver Eugene Wilson III has been ruled out of this week's matchup against the Bulldogs. He has an undisclosed injury that also kept him out of last week's matchup against Texas A&M. He suffered the injury late in Florida's week 2 game against Samford.

Wilson has 13 catches for 191 yards in his two appearances this season. He also has one passing touchdown. With Wilson out, the Florida Gators will need to rely on transfer receivers Elijah Badger and Chimere Dike. Head coach Billy Napier told reporters:

"We're definitely a better team with Tre Wilson for sure. But I do think Dike and Budger, in particular, stepped up in a major way. We have the ability to in formation plays to get the primary guys in position, much like we've done in the past. We'll take what we have each week and we'll formation it and try to make those guys a primary and secondary."

#2 Ja'Quavion Fraziars

Wide receiver Ja'quavion Fraziars has not appeared in a game yet this season because of a knee injury he sustained in the offseason. He will miss this week's game against Mississippi State, and there is no timetable for his return.

#3 Asa Turner

Safety Asa Turner suffered a non-contact shoulder injury late in Florida's Week 1 loss to Miami.

He has missed every game since and is not expected to return for this week's matchup against Mississippi State. Turner had one solo tackle in his only appearance of the season.

#4 Devin Moore

Defensive back Devin Moore sustained a shoulder injury in last week's game against Texas A&M.

He is listed as questionable on the injury report, meaning it is uncertain whether he will take the field this week.
