The Florida Gators (4-3, 2-2 SEC) are taking on the No. 2-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (6-1, 4-1 SEC) in Week 10.

The game will kick off on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 3:30 p.m. ET in the neutral sight EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Florida vs. Georgia Preview

Florida's time under head coach Billy Napier has been largely disappointing. After failing to reach a Bowl game last year at 5-7, Napier is looking to avoid dropping to .500 with so many difficult SEC opponents ahead: sixth-ranked Texas, No. 16-ranked LSU, and No. 19-ranked Ole Miss.

Hopefully, the offense can find a new spark with freshman DJ Lagway now taking over the reins at quarterback. Lagway has many physical gifts that pop off the screen, even the opponents can see.

“Well, a lot stands out," Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said. "He’s got great size, he’s got great arm strength, he’s got really good pocket mobility, he’s got a great offense around him. They do a good job.

Georgia looks to avoid a second loss and keep its hopes of winning the SEC and the playoffs alive.

The Bulldogs are coming off a bye week, so no damage has been done. Their most recent win was against the then-No. 1-ranked Texas Longhorns 30-15, which bolstered Georgia's resume for the 2024 College Football Playoff and essentially saved their season. However, Quarterback Carson Beck had a poor individual performance, throwing for 175 yards and three interceptions.

If they want to enter the bracket without controversy, they need to beat Florida convincingly. If they get stunned by the Gators, it would be their second loss to a team with two or more losses (Alabama 34-41, Sept. 29). The Bulldogs pass many notion tests, but that would be a difficult pill for the committee to swallow.

While we didn't see Beck at his best last game - he'll need to be better moving forward for Georgia to avoid a trap game - Smart isn't worried.

"(Beck) hasn't played perfect, but nobody does," Smart said. "So, I'm very comfortable with where Carson is. And in terms of his leadership, his practice habits, the things we're asking him to do, I think he's doing a good job of those."

Prediction: Georgia 35 - Florida 21
