Georgia vs Ole Miss: Preview

Georgia is a 2.5-point road favorite and the over/under set at 55 points.

The Bulldogs have struggled at times this year and are coming off a sloppy win over Florida, with Carson Beck throwing three interceptions.

However, Kirby Smart was pleased with Beck's play and decision-making.

"I think I was more pleased after watching the tape than anything, because I mean, out of 73 snaps, he had 68 winning decisions, really good decisions," Smart said on Monday, via 247Sports.
"I mean, 68 for 73, pretty good in any sport I'm in, that you're in. I think the concern is the mistakes can't be catastrophic. You gotta make good decisions. The two plays that he ends up turning the ball over on, they weren't great looks defensively against that call. Like, we were expecting something else."

Georgia is led by Beck who has thrown for 2,302 yards, 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Trevor Etienne has rushed for 453 yards and seven TDs, while Arian Smith has 31 receptions for 503 yards for three TDs.

Defensively, the Bulldogs are led by Jalon Walker's 4.5 sacks and Malaki Starks' 43 tackles.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss had a statement win against Arkansas with 60+ points on the road. Its offense is starting to click but Lane Kiffin knows Saturday's game will be a tough one.

"A lot to work on," Kiffin said on Sunday, via SI. "This is the test of all tests. This is the premier program in college football, what Alabama used to be, and Kirby's [Smart] done an amazing job.
"I think since 2021, they're 49-0 besides three losses to a team named Alabama. Big challenge. I think they're loaded as they have been during that run. Supremely talented roster, especially on defense. Like playing an NFL team."

Ole Miss is led by Jaxson Dart who has thrown for 3,210 yards, 21 TDs and three interceptions. Henry Parrish Jr. has rushed for 678 yards and 10 TDs, while Tre Harris has recorded 987 yards and six TDs.

This is one of the most anticipated games of the season and is a must-win for both teams.

The Bulldogs will be in a good spot to go on the road and edge out a high-scoring win.
