On Wednesday, their daughter, Kristen Saban, posted a picture via Instagram stories and captioned it:

Nick and Terry Saban have been married for over five decades, and they've been famous in the collegiate scene for some time. The couple tied the knot in 1971 and have been virtually inseparable since.

The Sabans were born and raised in Fairmont, West Virginia, and they've known each other since grade school. According to the Sporting News, Nick attempted to befriend his future wife way back in seventh grade, but he wasn't successful.

However, the legendary Alabama Crimson Tide coach persisted and finally got a shot in high school, and like they say, "the rest was history." The couple share two children, Nicholas and Kristen, and their relationship has blossomed over the decades.

Following Nick Saban's surprise retirement from coaching the Alabama Crimson Tide, he's kept himself busy. The seven-time national champion primarily works as an analyst for ESPN's "College GameDay."
