Deion Sanders' Colorado will face the Arizona Wildcats in their Week 8 showdown, and former President Barack Obama has chosen sides.

While campaigning for VP Kamala Harris in Tuscon, Arizona, Obama commented lightheartedly about Saturday's clash.

"It's good to be back in Tucson, and I appreciate y'all coming out the day before homecoming," Obama said. "As we landed, we saw Colorado's busses at the airport, and I know you know Colorado's got a couple good players, but I also know you guys have beaten them twice a row, so don't bet against the Wildcats tomorrow."

The last time Arizona and Colorado played was on Nov. 11, 2023, when the Wildcats won 34-31 at home.

The Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter-led Colorado has a 4-2 record, with two losses coming against Matt Rhule's Nebraska and the Kansas State Wildcats.

On the other hand, Arizona is 3-3, losing to Kansas State, BYU, and Texas Tech.

The Wildcats are coming off back-to-back defeats, which makes it even more important for them to secure a win against Deion Sanders' Colorado.

Travis Hunter shares Deion Sanders' long-term plan at Colorado

While many people doubt Deion Sanders' ability to stick around at Colorado after his sons Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders declare for the 2025 NFL Draft, two-way star Travis Hunter came forward to reassure fans about Coach Prime's plans.

“(Coach Sanders) loves it here,” Hunter declared. “He always talks about it, he loves being here but he is a Florida boy. You come outside and you see mountains.
“That’s kind of shocking to him still to this day. He loves being here, the fans take care of us a lot. The school takes care of us a lot. So I know he wants to be here and he loves being here.”

While Deion himself has reassured the Colorado fans by promising to stick around and continue building the program, it would be interesting to see how things turn out for Coach Prime after his sons migrate to the NFL.
