“He’s ready to go”: Penn State HC James Franklin makes expectations from QB Drew Allar extremely clear ahead of Ohio State showdown

James Franklin has high expectations for his star quarterback Drew Allar. Ahead of Penn State's crucial Week 10 matchup against the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Nittany Lions coach spoke to Jenny Taft.

Really, putting a really good week together," Franklin said. "That's been a big part of his game this year. We're going to need it to be that way today, so we have a lot of confidence in VCs ready to go. That's been a little bit safe to meet Ohio State. But why is this team the team today that can change that? Well, it's not about those other years. It's about this year.

He continued:

"Our guys have done everything they can up to this point to put us in the best position to win. We just got to go do it now, and that's all of us include. We're going to need this place rocking today. They need to be a big part as well make it a tough environment. but it's going to be a challenge, and we're ready for it."

This comes just a week after Allar suffered what looked like a left knee injury at Wisconsin.

However, according to the AP Poll rankings, the Medina-born quarterback has passed a late fitness test and will start for the Nittany Lions in a matchup of two top-five teams.
