As every week in the 2024 college football season passes, the Heisman Trophy odds get updated. With Week 11 in the rearview mirror, it is becoming clearer which players have a chance to win the most coveted award in college football. One player has emerged as the favorite, but there is a definitive top three in terms of odds.

Updated Heisman Trophy odds before Week 12 of college football

The Heisman Trophy goes to who voters believe was the best college football player that season. There are some excellent candidates this season, and although it is usually a quarterback-dominated award, two of the top three players are not quarterbacks.

#1 Travis Hunter

No. 21 Colorado Buffaloes (7-2) two-way star Travis Hunter has seen his Heisman Trophy odds move throughout the season. He rose to near the top of the race early in the year before they dropped significantly when he was struggling with a shoulder injury. However, now that he is healthy and performing at a high level again, he leads the race.

After another excellent performance on Saturday against Texas Tech, Hunter is the definitive Heisman favorite. FanDuel gives him +120 odds to win.

#2 Dillon Gabriel

Quarterback Dillon Gabriel has helped the No. 1 Oregon Ducks (10-0) maintain an undefeated season with only two games remaining. He has continued to dominate teams and show incredible consistency every week. His completion rate stands out at 74.3%.

If Gabriel helps Oregon to an undefeated season, many voters might decide to vote for him. FanDuel gave him +320 odds after Saturday's game.

#3 Ashton Jeanty

The No. 12 Boise State Broncos (8-1) running back Ashton Jeanty has had one of the biggest breakout seasons of the year. He went from a good running back last year to having one of the best rushing seasons this year.

He has already rushed for 1734 yards in nine games, and with three games remaining, he could break into the top 10 or top five rushing seasons of all time. He has +350 odds after Saturday.

#4 Cam Ward

The No. 4vMiami Hurricanes (9-1) quarterback Cam Ward took a hit to his Heisman odds on Saturday; he sits at fourth with +800 odds. Miami suffered its first loss of the season, 28–23, to Georgia Tech, and Ward was responsible for the comeback ending with a fumble on the last drive. He could get back in the mix, but his odds of winning are much lower now.

#5 Kurtis Rourke

No. 8-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (10-0) QB Kurtis Rourke has continued to defy expectations this season. He has helped Indiana remain undefeated and is in the top five of Heisman Trophy odds. However, his odds are not high. They are +1400 with only two games left to gain ground.
