The Heisman Trophy race is heating up after a chatoic Week 7 college football slate, with some players rising and falling from their spots last week.

The names near the top have remained consistent throughout the first seven weeks of the season, but some outside names are beginning to make compelling arguments to win the coveted award.

Here's a look at the Heisman Trophy odds after Week 7.

Heisman Trophy Odds after Week 7

Ashton Jeanty, RB (+185)

There's no change at No. 1, as Ashton Jeanty's historic season continues. Jeanty posted his third 200-yard game of the season on Saturday in Boise State's 28-7 win over Hawaii.

Jeanty finished with 31 carries for 217 yards and two touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving. Jeanty's totals boosted to 126 carries for 1,248 rushing yards and 18 total touchdowns on the season. With Jeanty leading the way, Boise State is 5-1 on the season, ranked as the No. 15 team in the country.

Dillon Gabriel, QB (+250)

Dillon Gabriel bolstered his Heisman Trophy odds after a historic performance in Oregon's 32-31 win over Ohio State in Euegene. Gabriel completed 23 of 34 pass attempts for 341 yards and two touchdowns, adding four carries for 32 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Gabriel's efficiency and ability to show up in big games gives him the second-best odds to win the award, behind Jeanty. In six games this season, Gabriel has completed 76.1% of his passes for 1,790 yards with 17 total touchdowns.

Cam Ward, QB (+650)

Cam Ward has been one of the most impressive quarterbacks in the country this season, ranking second in passing yards and tied for first in passing touchdowns. Despite an off-week for the Miami Hurricanes, Ward has the third-best odds to win the Heisman Trophy.

In six games, he has completed 69.2% of his passes for 2,219 yards and 20 touchdowns with five interceptions.

Jalen Milroe, QB (+1400)

Jalen Milroe's Heisman case looked much more compelling before Alabama's historic loss to Vanderbilt, but the dual-threat quarterback has an outside chance to win.

Milroe's odds have decreased afters struggling in back-to-back games for the Tide. In Week 7, he threw for 209 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions, adding 36 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Entering Week 8, Milroe has completed 72.7% of his passes for 1,483 yards and 12 touchdowns, adding 319 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground.

Travis Hunter, DB (+1400)

Travis Hunter's odds plummeted following Colorado's Week 7 loss versus Kansas State, with the two-way star catching just three passes for 26 yards. With his team's lack of success early on, it's difficult to defend Hunter's Heisman case for now.

Hunter has caught 49 passes for 587 yards and six touchdowns on the year. Defensively, he has racked up 17 total tackles, one for loss, two interceptions and a forced fumble.
