Heisman Trophy watch heading into Week 14
#1. Travis Hunter, Colorado
The On3 Sports analysts feel Hunter is the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy this season. The Colorado superstar is having an excellent run this season, playing as both, a wideout and a cornerback.
Hunter has racked up 1,036 yards and 11 touchdowns on 83 receptions as a wideout. He also has recorded 30 tackles (19 solo tackles), nine passes defended, three interceptions and one forced fumble as a defensive back.
Colorado will face Oklahoma State in its final regular season game on Friday, and Hunter could potentially seal his Heisman award depending on his performance in that matchup.
#2. Ashton Jeanty, Boise State
Jeanty is having a season for the ages with Boise State. The Broncos running back has a great chance to win the Heisman amid his stellar displays this season.
Jeanty has recorded 2,062 yards and 27 touchdowns on 275 carries. He has also tallied 102 yards and caught a touchdown on 18 receptions. Notably, Jeanty has posted at least 100+ rushing yards in each game for Boise State this year.
#3. Cam Ward, Miami
Ward is the leading quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy this season. The Miami signal-caller has put his team on course to reach the College Football Playoff.
Ward has completed 268 of 399 passes for 3,774 yards and thrown 34 touchdowns, with seven interceptions. He has also rushed for 177 yards and scored four touchdowns.
