Connor Stalions' statement amid sign-stealing allegations

The defending champion Michigan Wolverines finished a perfect 15-0 season, but their coach, Jim Harbaugh left for the Los Angeles Chargers. Despite the run, they faced serious heat over sign-stealing accusations. The situation got so intense that the Big Ten had to step in, accusing Michigan of breaking sportsmanship rules and suspending Harbaugh for three games.
Connor Stalions, a former staff member who resigned amid the controversy, said:
“I love the University of Michigan and its football program,” Stalions said (H/t On3). “I am extremely grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to work with the incredible student-athletes, Coach Harbaugh and the other coaches that have been a part of the Michigan football family during my tenure.”
“I do not want to be a distraction from what I hope to be a championship run for the team,” he added. “I will continue to cheer them on.”
Now, Connor Stalions' discussion of Michigan sign-stealing allegations in a new Netflix documentary will only add fuel to the fire in the coming days.
