The much-anticipated EA Sports College Football 25 game was released on July 19 to much fanfare after an 11-year hiatus. The game has been in production since 2021, and football fans all over the world were salivating to get their hands on it.

After an early release on July 16 for fans who bought the deluxe version, a few patches to fix bugs have already been implemented. Players can now get down to the details with one of the biggest being how to get skill points in the game.

Players in the College Football 25 game get to receive a specific rating that corresponds to their skills in the Road to Glory mode. In this mode, players choose a starting rating which improves as the game progresses and coaches start to trust the player more.

Skill points can be earned and allow players to upgrade the abilities of their characters in the game and will cover aspects like accuracy, strength and elusiveness. The position of the player will determine the number of skill points gamers will need to spend on a skill level, with more skill points spent on an increased skill level.

The fastest way to earn skill points is to spend time on the weekly agenda training aspect of the game. These points spent in training are only specific to that area and cannot be transferred to areas like leadership.

Players will also be able to earn skill points by completing certain milestones during gameday. Some of these include scoring touchdowns, making catches and completing throws and reaching first downs. When added up, these factors will increase a player's XP, which will contribute to skill points earned.

Different journeys in College Football earn different skill points

Different players in the College Football 25 game will choose different journeys in the Road To Glory mode. Depending on the journey chosen (underdog or elite), the opportunities available to earn skill points will differ as well.

As an underdog, the weekly agenda training will help players earn more skill points because of a lack of playing time during actual games. In the elite aspect, players will have more opportunities to earn skill points because they get to start games sooner.

College football fans will undoubtedly find ways to earn skill points faster over a period of consuming the game, but at the moment, the options are fairly split depending on the journey chosen.
