Ohio State has had one of the strongest recruiting in college football over the last couple of years. This has significantly helped the program stay competitive within the landscape.

The 2025 recruiting cycle is no different, as OSU has secured the commitment of some of the top prospects in the class. The Buckeyes currently lead the class of 2025 recruitment ranking and have so far secured the commitment of three five-star prospects.

The five-star commitment includes quarterback Tavien St. Clair and cornerbacks Devin Sanchez and Na’eem Offord. Ohio State has also secured a host of four-star prospects, including offensive tackle Carter Lowe, safety Faheem Delance, linebacker Riley Pettijohn, defensive end Zion Grady and a couple of others.

Ohio State's class of 2025 five-star prospects

#1, Tavien St. Clair, QB

Tavien St. Clair is one of the top-rated quarterbacks in the class of 2025. He had a brilliant performance in the Elite 11 earlier this year, garnering the attention of several scouts. He possesses the arm, size and mobility to immediately fit into college football as a freshman.

St. Clair is the No. 2 overall prospect in the class of 2025, behind only fellow quarterback and LSU commit Bryce Underwood. He is bound to add great depth to the already rich quarterback room in Columbus, which could also have five-star recruits like Julian Sayin and Air Noland in 2025.

#2, Devin Sanchez, CB

Devin Sanchez is considered the best prospect on the defensive side of the ball in the class of 2025. The Houston, Texas, native has the perfect athletic and physical attributes for his position, especially at a time when height and length are highly valued for cornerbacks.

Sanchez is ranked as the No. 4 overall prospect in his class, which makes him the highest-rated defensive player and top-rated cornerback in the cycle. He becomes a great addition to the Ohio State defense, which performed excellently in 2023 and is expected to keep it up in 2024.

#3, Na’eem Offord, CB

Na’eem Offord is also one of the best defensive players in the class of 2025, and his talent garnered a significant level of attention. He boasts elite length and physical traits at the cornerback position, enabling him to excel across various pass coverage schemes on the gridiron.

Offord is the No. 6 overall prospect in the class of 2025 and is also rated the No. 2 cornerback in the cycle, behind only fellow Ohio State commit Devin Sanchez. His pairing with Sanchez in Colombus is bound to provide a hard time for opposing wide receivers.
