The Oklahoma Sooners' 2024 spring game marked the end of their spring practice and served as the last opportunity for fans to see Team 130 before they join the SEC on July 1. The game was held on a Saturday afternoon at Owen Field in Norman, where the Red (offense) and White (defense) teams faced off.
Brandon Drumm, a college football insider, reported that the game drew an impressive 45,861 fans despite the threat of bad weather and a time change.
“Really good with the time change and the threat of bad weather,” Drumm tweeted. “#OU fans still managed to fill half the stadium for a spring game/scrimmage in April.”

The spring game was also an opportunity for fans to see their starting quarterback, Jackson Arnold, in action. Arnold had an up-and-down showing in the Alamodome last winter, but on Saturday, his misses were minimal, and he showed impressive skill on the field.
Arnold completed 10 out of 20 passes for 233 yards and two scores through the air. His connection with wide receiver Deion Burks was a highlight of the game, with the two players combining for five receptions, 174 yards, and two scores in the first half.
Although the game was not a full-fledged play, it was the closest thing fans will get before the season opener against the Temple Owls on Friday, Aug. 30.

The Sooners will play 12 games in total, with seven of those being held at home. The season will start with a bang, as the Sooners will host four non-conference games in a row. They will kick things off on Aug. 31 with a game against Temple, followed by matchups against Houston on Sep. 7, Tulane on Sep. 14, and Maine on Nov. 21.
One of the most highly anticipated games of the season will be the Sooners' first-ever SEC matchup, which will take place against Tennessee on Sep. 21 in Norman.
The Sooners' first SEC road game will take place on Sep. 28 against Auburn, followed by a much-needed bye week. On Oct. 12, they will take on their longtime rivals, the Texas Longhorns, at the State Fair of Texas. This year, the Sooners will be the designated home team for the game.
After that, the Sooners will return home to face South Carolina on Oct. 19, followed by a game at Ole Miss on Oct. 26. They will then play their final non-conference game of the season against Maine on Nov. 2, before hitting the road again to take on Missouri on Nov. 9.
The Sooners will get a much-needed break with a second bye week, before finishing off the season with two huge games. First up is a home game against powerhouse Alabama on Nov. 23, followed by a road game against LSU on Nov. 30. The Sooners have never played at Auburn, Ole Miss, or LSU before, so these matchups are sure to be exciting for fans.
