Quinn Ewers graduated early from Southlake Carroll High School. Ewers played football and baseball at Carroll but elected to forgo his senior season to enroll early at Ohio State University.
Ewers worked on a program with Southlake Carroll High School to finish his coursework early. Upon graduation, he joined the Buckeyes training camp.
Quinn Ewers was a No.1 ranked prospect in High School
Quinn Ewers was born and raised in Texas and attended Southlake Carroll High School, where he played for the football team. As a freshman, Ewers punted seven times with an average of 45.3 yards per attempt.
Ewers ascended the depth chart in his sophomore season, putting up a stat line of 3,998 yards, 45 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He guided his side to the Texas 6A Division I quarterfinals before they lost to Duncanville.
Ewers dealt with injuries in his sophomore high school season but still put up dominant gridiron stats. The Texan amassed 2,442 yards and 28 touchdown passes in eight games. In his absence, Southlake Carroll High School reached the state championship game, but they lost to Westlake High School.
Ahead of his senior season, Ewers was billed as the top prospect in the 2022 college football recruiting class. He committed to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes in November 2020.
Quinn Ewers has thrived at the college level
Quinn Ewers started his college football career on a stacked Ohio State Buckeyes team. After reclassifying, he played one season for the Buckeyes.
Ahead of the 2022 season, Ewers transferred his talents to the Texas Longhorns. He promptly became the program's starting quarterback and is now one of the most consistent field generals in college football.
The Longhorns star has played in and started 22 games while amassing 5,656 passing yards, 37 passing touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He's currently on numerous end-of-the-season award watch lists as he aims to win a national championship during what appears to be his last collegiate season before entering the NFL draft.
