In College Football 25, mentality is as important as sheer athletic ability. While fans sometimes obsess over the athletic abilities of quarterbacks, constantly going over things like 40-yard dashes and arm strength, any football fan would tell you that having the proper mentality is as important as sheer athletic prowess.

EA Sports tried to replicate this in its newest game, College Football 25, using the mental abilities mechanics. The mechanic is not limited to quarterbacks. It's an important factor in the development of all players. The abilities are activated during appropriate situations during a game. The mental traits can be found on the player cards as well.

Today, we bring you the most important ones to develop on your team's signal-caller on your road to glory.

How does the mental abilities feature work in College Football 25?

Players have upto three mental abilities, which are passive features meaning they will improve the player's performance in certain circumstances without the player having to do anything. Abilities have four stages, going from bronze to platinum with silver and gold in the middle. All abilities start at bronze and can be seen through the team's depth chart.
