Hunter Wohler is an American college football safety plying his trade with the Wisconsin Badgers over the past three seasons. Wohler began his high school football career at the Muskego High School where he led the team to two State Championships. During his time at Muskego, Wohler was named the Associated Press and WFCA Wisconsin Player of the Year twice. He was also the recipient of the 2021 Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year award. The Muskego native finished his high school career with an impressive 355 tackles and nine interceptions.
The former four-star prospect from Muskego signed with the Wisconsin Badgers over offers from Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Northwestern among others. Wohler stood out in his freshman season, as he saw action in all 13 games recording 17 tackles and a sack in 2021. The following season he suffered a leg injury but yet managed to see action in six games with one start. Last season as a junior, Wohler earned second-team All-Big Ten honors after bagging 120 tackles, two interceptions, six pass deflections, and a sack. After a breakthrough junior campaign, Wohler decided to return to Wisconsin for his final year of eligibility.
