Ian Jackson is an inside linebacker for the UTSA Roadrunners and will be a redshirt junior in 2024. He is a native of Prattville, Alabama, and graduated from Prattville High School. Jackson had an impressive high school career, he made more than 100 tackles in his last two seasons. In 2021, Jackson began his collegiate career with the Alabama Crimson Tide and was redshirted as a freshman. In 2022, he played three games for the Crimson Tide, mainly contributing on special teams.
