The house formerly owned by Deion Sanders and his ex-wife Pilar Sanders, the mother to three of his children, recently hit the market for an eye-watering $12.7 million.
According to the Daily Mail, the 13-bedroomed house was custom built for Deion Sanders when he got married to Pilar Sanders. It is a 29,000-square-foot spread with two indoor swimming pools and one outdoors.
It counts among its amenities a barbershop, a basketball court, and a gigantic master bedroom closet estimated at 3,000 square feet.
During a courtroom hearing when Deion and Pilar were getting divorced, the latter described the size of Coach Prime's closet while testifying, according to The Dallas Morning News.
"It's larger than this courtroom, it's longer than this courtroom," she testified. "It's a two-story," Pilar said.
Did Pilar Sanders assault Deion Sanders at their house?
In 2012, Deion and Pilar Sanders were going through a messy divorce that was splashed across all the major gossip sites. It is still one of the nastiest celebrity divorces of recent years.
Police were called to the Sanders residence and Pilar Sanders was transported by ambulance to a hospital with a bleeding lip before being placed in detention.
The police described her as being the source of the conflict with Prime, who locked himself in his bedroom with his kids while his ex-wife kicked the door and shouted.
The former actress stayed in jail for 7 days due to the incident which was witnessed by her friend Diana Boswell.
Collin County Magistrate Paul Raleeh granted Deion Sanders an emergency protective order against Pilar Sanders in 2012 after she was arrested for assault at their house. She was forbidden from going to their shared home for 60 days.
Coach Prime and Diana Boswell, Pilar's friend, were also cited for assault in the incident. According to CBS News, after leaving the courthouse, Pilar Sanders made a statement on the scandal.
"I'm a full-time mom. I'm there for my child and just haven't been given a fair shake. I will never give up fighting for my children."
Judge Ray Wheless ruled that the couple could no longer stay in the same home and awarded the Prosper home to Deion Sanders.
A year later, they were in the courtroom again in a tug-of-war custody battle for their three kids, Shelomi, Shedeur, and Shilo Sanders.
With all three of the couple's kids playing various sports at Colorado University and Pilar always in attendance at games, supporting her kids, those toxic days seem to be behind the couple.
