The Pop-Tarts Bowl will kick off on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. EST. It will feature two ranked teams in the No. 13-ranked Miami Hurricanes and No. 18-ranked Iowa State Cyclones. Although it should be an exciting matchup, neither team will be at full strength because of opt-outs and injuries.

Iowa State injuries

Tyler Moore

Tight end Tyler Moore has been dealing with an undisclosed injury. He is listed as questionable on the injury report for the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

Benjamin Brahmer

Tight end Benjamin Brahmer is listed as questionable with a leg injury on the injury report. However, he did return for the Big 12 Championship Game.

Malik Verdon

Safety Malik Verdon missed most of the Big 12 Championship Game and is unlikely to play because of an injury.

Caleb Bacon

Linebacker Caleb Bacon is not expected to be available because of a leg injury.

Daniel Jackson

Wide receiver Daniel Jackson is out for the season with an undisclosed injury.

Iowa State opt-outs

Tyler Onyedim

Starting defensive end Tyler Onyedim is not available to play in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. He is in the transfer portal.

Kenard Snyder

Defensive end Kenard Snyder is not available to play after entering the transfer portal. He played 123 snaps this season.

Trent Jones

Defensive end Trent Jones is also not available after entering the transfer portal. He played 101 snaps this year.

Miami injuries

Riley Williams

Tight end Riley Williams is questionable to play in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. He has been dealing with an undisclosed illness.

Jadais Richard

Cornerback Jadais Richard is not expected to play because of an undisclosed injury. He last played in Week 10.

Dyoni Hill

Cornerback Dyoni Hill has not played in Week 11 because of an undisclosed injury. His status has not changed.

Miami opt-outs

Isaiah Horton

Starting wide receiver Isaiah Horton has entered the transfer portal and is not expected to take the field for the Hurricanes. He has signed with the Alabama Crimson Tide for next season.

Ajay Allen

Running back Ajay Allen has entered the transfer portal and is not expected to take the field in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. He has not signed with a new team yet but is still expected to keep himself out of the lineup to avoid an injury. He only played 51 snaps this season for the Hurricanes.
