With Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning on their roster, Steve Sarkisian's Texas Longhorns have potentially the most star-studded quarterback rooms in college football. While that sounds like a good thing on paper, every football fan knows that a locker isn't big enough for two-star quarterbacks. That's the reason behind some speculation surrounding the possibility of Manning transferring out of Austin.

However, Southeastern Conference (SEC) insider Paul Finebaum doesn't believe that will happen. According to Finebaum, Arch Manning could've left Texas already and the fact that he hasn't done it shows he has no intention of doing it.

"Manning had every opportunity to leave, but he chose to stay, I've been down to Austin twice recently, and the consensus is that Arch Manning is fully committed to the Longhorns' program," Finebaum said on his show.

The most likely scenario is that the Ewers will enter the NFL draft next year. Manning would then inherit a championship-contending team that now plays in the premier athletic conference in the country. Patience might be the best course of action for the heir to the Manning legacy.

Arch Manning on the transfer portal rumors

Arch Manning himself addressed the transfer portal gossip last month. In July he told The Athletic's Larry Holder the following:

"It's tough not being out there with the team, but there's no other place I'd rather be. It's been a dream of mine to play for Texas, and I'm sticking to it. My time will come."

Playing in the SEC might also have some familiar appeal, as his family is highly tied to the history of the conference. Both his uncles played at SEC schools (Peyton Manning at Tennessee and Eli at Ole Miss).

His grandfather, Archie Manning, also played quarterback at Ole Miss. A little less known fact is that Arch Manning's father, Cooper Manning, was also meant to play at Ole Miss, with him being a highly-rated wide receiver. However, a spinal stenosis diagnosis the summer before schools abruptly ended his career.

It seems that Manning's are meant to play in the SEC.
