Champ Anthony has been a topic of discussion for the Auburn Tigers (2-3) ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs (3-1). The cornerback suffered a gruesome leg injury against the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 4 and fans want to know whether Anthony will feature against the Bulldogs on Saturday.

Champ Anthony won't play against Georgia on Saturday. The Auburn cornerback has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his left leg.

Anthony was injured in the first quarter of Auburn's matchup against Arkansas at Jordan-Hare Stadium after making a tackle on Razorbacks wideout Andrew Armstrong. The Auburn star fell to the ground and was carted off the field. It was later reported that the cornerback's leg was in a cast and was ruled out for the rest of the contest.
After the game, Auburn coach Hugh Freeze spoke about Anthony's injury.
“Our thoughts are with Champ Anthony. Man, just a difficult injury,” Freeze said. “He was playing at a really high level for us. One of our leaders.”
Anthony had to undergo surgery on his left leg a few days after his injury, which was successful. However, he won't play a part for Auburn for the rest of the season and also missed the Week 5 matchup against Oklahoma.
Anthony's 2024 campaign, which was cut short to four appearances, finished with 12 tackles, 10 of which were solo, and three passes defended.
