Though the two players share a surname, that is as far as the connection goes. DK Metcalf and Elijah Metcalf are not related. Elijah is private and has never spoken publicly about his parents or family. DK is the son of Terrence and Tonya Metcalf.
Terrence Metcalf is a former professional football player like his son. He was drafted in 2002 by the Chicago Bears and played in the NFL until 2010. There is no evidence that Elijah Metcalf has any relation to DK Metcalf, his father, or the rest of his family.

Elijah Metcalf is entering his junior year with the Marshall Thundering Herd. He is a transfer from Middle Tennessee and had played parts of three seasons with the Blue Raiders before transferring.
Metcalf joined Middle Tennessee as a freshman in 2021 and redshirted his first season. He appeared in two games and received four passes for 52 yards.
He got significant playing time for the first time in 2022. Metcalf received 26 passes while appearing in 12 games. Additionally, he had 309 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His longest catch was for 69 yards.
Elijah Metcalf had a breakout season last year, catching 54 passes for 634 yards and six touchdowns. This year, he has seven receptions for 72 yards and two touchdowns from the first two games of the season.
DK Metcalf is starting his sixth season in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks
DK Metcalf was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He has since established himself as one of the fastest and most effective wide receivers in the league.
In his first five seasons, he racked up 372 receptions, 5,232 receiving yards and 43 touchdowns. He has three seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards: in 2020, 2022 and 2023.
Through two games this season, Metcalf has 13 receptions, 158 receiving yards and a touchdown. He is on a contract that will keep him with the Seahawks through the end of the 2025 NFL season.
