Steve Sarkisian has been the head coach of the Texas Longhorns since 2021, guiding the team to significant success, including three consecutive winning seasons.

However, before the 2025 College Football Playoff semifinals, speculation about Sarkisian’s potential interest from NFL teams has arisen.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, NFL franchises are expected to inquire about Steve Sarkisian during the offseason.

With multiple coaching vacancies anticipated, Sarkisian’s name could surface as a candidate. However, he has not expressed any desire to leave the Longhorns.

Sarkisian's last NFL role was a brief period as the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons from 2017 to 2018. He never fully established himself in the role and was dismissed after a less-than-ideal 2018 regular season.

Sarkisian wasn't out of a job for too long, as he joined the Alabama Crimson Tide as the program's offensive coordinator. There, he played a key role in developing future NFL quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones, earning the Broyles Award, which is given to the nation’s top assistant coach.

After just one season at Alabama, Sarkisian was hired as the 31st head coach of the Texas Longhorns. Since then, he has steadily guided the Longhorns through a competitive college football landscape.
