The Virginia Tech Hokies are one of the more recognizable programs in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Their potential move to the Big 12 is certainly on the table.

The Big 12 expansion is likely to continue as commissioner Brett Yormark did not shut down the possibility of expanding even further. Now, there are talks about which schools could be targeted next.

Of course, this all depends on the court's decision regarding the Atlantic Coast Conference's Grant of Rights Agreement.

If the court rules against the ACC, they could be in a position where the Big 12 expansion could include other ACC schools. But would Virginia Tech to the Big 12 be a good move for the conference?

Is Virginia Tech to the Big 12 a possible move?

Virginia Tech to the Big 12 is one of the bigger storylines that could play out as a result of conference realignment. This is certainly a possibility as they are not viewed at the same level as the Clemson Tigers and the Florida State Seminoles.

This could be a good move for both sides as the Big 12 will be encroaching on the SEC's turf by getting into Virginia. The program being located right near the border of where the SEC begins will allow it Big 12 to get some market share in that region.

For Virginia Tech, they will likely be in favor of a move to the Big 12 as they are going to receive a larger annual revenue from the conference's media rights.

This would likely not be the first team that Brett Yormark would target out of the Atlantic Coast Conference, but it is still a valuable addition.
