As per reports, Alexander is listed as questionable to play against South Alabama on Saturday. The cornerback was in the concussion protocols on Thursday, LSU coach Brian Kelly said.

“Zy is questionable,” Kelly said. “He’s going through the protocol so it’s hard to take him out of that protocol until we get through it. But he’s making progress through it, so we’ll leave him as questionable.”

It remains to be seen whether Alexander can make a recovery in time to face the Jaguars in Week 5.

Zy Alexander injury: What happened to the LSU cornerback?

Alexander suffered a concussion after making a tackle in the second quarter of the Tigers’ game against UCLA in Week 4. The cornerback was examined by trainers before he gingerly walked off the field.

Alexander was spotted getting some treatment in the medical tent, and then he walked back to the LSU locker room. He did not return and was later replaced by JK Johnson.

This season, Alexander has recorded seven tackles, six of which have been solo. He also has two passes defended and one interception.
