Deion Sanders Jr. is Coach Prime's oldest son and a key figure in the Colorado Buffaloes' social media department. He runs the team's YouTube channel and can be regularly spotted attending their games.
During an interview on the "Folsom Frenzy Podcast" with his younger brother, Shedeur, Deion Sanders Jr. reflected on his family's time in Colorado on Wednesday. He said:
"One thing is, Colorado is that Colorado is such an amazing place because the fan base has so many different cultures combined in one. You see everyone enjoying a game. So it's a real cool, unique fan base."
It's clear that while the Sanders kids are moving on, the culture of Colorado has left a positive mark on them.
How have Shedeur and Shilo Sanders performed this season?
Shedeur and Shilo Sanders entered the 2024 college football season with a point to prove. They and their teammates endured a tough 2023 college football season that saw them lose an astonishing eight games, thereby missing out on bowl game eligibility.
The duo rewrote their Colorado legacies by leading the Buffaloes to one of the program's best seasons ever. The team went 9-3 in the regular season behind stunning quarterback play from Shedeur and decent safety play from Shilo.
Shedeur Sanders ended the regular season with a stat line of 3,926 passing yards, 35 touchdowns and eight interceptions. While Shilo racked up 43 solo tackles, one forced fumble, and one pass deflection.
What next for Deion Sanders Jr. and the rest of the Sanders family
Deion Sanders Jr. joined the Colorado Buffaloes around the same time as his father and his job description is that of a media expert. He'll likely continue working with the program for as long as Coach Prime is around.
Shedeur Sanders is a lock for the top five of the 2025 NFL draft. It's just a matter of which QB-needy team selects him in the upcoming draft. The Las Vegas Raiders, Dallas Cowboys and both teams in New York have been mooted as potential landing spots for the star quarterback.
Shilo Sanders is in his last year of collegiate football eligibility. Shilo has a small draft buzz on the team, but he'll likely get drafted in the later rounds or sign on as a member of the practice squad in the NFL.
