Jaylen Henderson is one of the highly-rated quarterbacks in college football who is in his second year with the Texas A&M Aggies. Henderson started playing high school football at Chaminade College Preparatory School where he was ranked the No.24 dual-threat quarterback in the country. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound athlete passed for 2,664 yards, 20 touchdowns and six interceptions in the junior season. In his final year of prep career, Henderson threw for 1,402 yards and 15 touchdowns. He was ranked the No.58 overall in the 2021 recruiting class and was rated a three-star recruit by major sports outlets.

Coming out of high school, Henderson started his collegiate football journey with Fresno State over offers from Mountain West and Ivy League colleges. He held offers from Northwestern, Louisville, Yale, Harvard, Columbia, Arizona, Rice, Boise State, San Diego State, and New Mexico among others. In his freshman season with the Bulldogs, Henderson appeared in only three games and redshirted the season. In 2022, he also struggled for gametime and managed only two games in the season. After being sparingly used for two seasons at Fresno State, Henderson entered the transfer portal and transferred to Texas A&M with three years of eligibility remaining in 2023. As a sophomore, Henderson started the final four games of the season and finished the year with 715 passing yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions before suffering an arm injury in the 2023 Texas Bowl. Henderson took the starting job last season and will return to College Station for his final season.
